§ 01 / The Symbol3 PARTS

The Cross.
The Anvil.

THE CENTER

The Cross

Christ is the center. Every decision, every dollar, every door — surrendered first at the cross. Without it, the work is just noise.

THE WORK

The Anvil

Character is hammered out under pressure. Calling meets craft under repetition, discipline, and heat.

TOGETHER

Forged by pressure.
Guided by Christ.

§ 02 / The CreedSTEWARDSHIP

We are not owners.
We are stewards.

“He owns it. We manage it.”

+

Every business, every marriage, every child, every friendship, every hour, every dollar — entrusted, not owned. Anvil & Cross is business-forward, but the creed runs through all of life: family, faith, health, calling. He leads. We steward.

01

God owns it.

02

We manage it.

03

Success is stewardship, not status.

04

Profit is fuel, not purpose.

05

Leadership is service, not authority.

06

He leads. We support.

§ 04 / The FounderA TESTIMONY

Hi, I'm
James.

I spent most of my life on a mission to be unforgettable — to build, to win, to leave a mark the world couldn't ignore.

Read my story+

That drive was forged in dark places. As a boy at a Christian boarding school, I was abused by the very people who claimed to represent God. I walked away. For thirty years I rejected Him. I told myself I'd author my own life.

Then one ordinary day in Scottsdale, I turned right — without deciding to. No plan. No control of my hands on the wheel. Just an unmistakable instruction I had no language for. I'd driven past Oasis Community Church hundreds of times over eight years and never once stopped. That morning I pulled in without hesitation.

Pastor Billy and Pastor Andy met me where I was. They didn't flinch at the wreckage. They opened my heart back to God — and in an instant, three decades of armor came off. I was saved again.

Anvil & Cross is what I built after that turn. A place where leaders can hand the wheel back to God — in business, in family, in faith — and trust the direction He sets.

James · Founder, Anvil & Cross
§ 05 / A Day in the RoomMONTHLY FORUM

What a Tuesday
actually looks like.

Not theory. Not a webinar. One full day a month, in the room, with the same covenant group. Phones down. Word open. P&Ls on the table.

8:30 AM
Coffee & Confession
+
Arrive early. No agenda. We name what's actually going on before we open a deck.
9:00 AM
Worship & The Word
+
20 minutes. One passage. One leader teaches. Grounded before we strategize.
9:45 AM
Teaching Block
+
One sharp lesson — leadership, finance, AI, family, succession. Practical, biblical, no fluff.
11:00 AM
Hot Seat Roundtable
+
One member brings their hardest issue. The room processes it. Confidential. On the record only to those present.
12:30 PM
Covenant Lunch
+
We eat together. Prayer for marriages, kids, teams, and the city.
1:30 PM
Peer Advisory
+
Smaller groups of 6–8. Wins, blockers, decisions on the table. Counsel given. Decisions made.
3:00 PM
1-on-1s & Coaching
+
Pair off. Coaches and partners available. Real work gets unblocked here.
4:00 PM
Commission & Send
+
Lay hands. Pray over each leader. Send them back to family, team, and city.
§ 06 / What We Are NotCLARITY

Clarity beats
broad appeal.

Not a mastermind.
+
We don't sell hacks. We disciple operators.
Not a networking club.
+
Relationships here come with accountability and a covenant.
Not a parachurch program.
+
We do not replace your church. We send you back to it stronger.
Not a curriculum you consume alone.
+
Transformation happens in the room, with the same people, on a cadence.
Not chasing scale.
+
Small rooms. High covenant. We will cap before we dilute.
Not neutral.
+
Jesus is Lord. God is the CEO. We say it on the wall, not in the fine print.
§ 07 / The CovenantSIGNED · NOT IMPLIED

Membership has
teeth.

Every member signs The Covenant on day one. Not aspirational. Not symbolic. The terms of belonging.

To Pastors

We do not pull leaders away from your church. We send them back to it stronger — tithing more, leading more, harder to lose.

I.
Local Church Membership
+
I am in covenant membership at a Gospel-preaching local church. Anvil & Cross does not replace it — it reinforces it.
II.
Confidentiality
+
What is said in the room stays in the room. Always. No exceptions.
III.
Accountability
+
I submit my life, marriage, and business to the counsel of this room.
IV.
Family & Relationships
+
I honor the people closest to me — spouse, children, those I love. Some of us are married, some single, some carrying the scars of divorce. Wherever you stand, this room walks with you. We celebrate strong marriages, support healthy singleness, and help those who have walked through divorce heal — because sometimes it doesn't work out, and that's met with grace, not shame.
V.
Financial Transparency
+
I open my books to my peer group. Numbers don't lie and neither do I.
VI.
Tithing & Generosity
+
I tithe to my local church. I steward generously beyond it.
VII.
Presence
+
I show up. Phones down. Word open. Whole self in the room.
§ 08 / The MissionMANIFESTO

What stewardship
produces.

When God leads, the fruit is tangible: stronger leaders, healthier businesses, whole families, served communities, funded missions.

Equip leaders. Grow businesses. Strengthen families. Fund missions. Expand God's Kingdom.

§ 09 / Six Pillars06 / 06

What we
build on.

“Six pillars. Every one of them steeped in God's Word.”

+

This is the foundation we return to in every meeting, every decision, every season.

01

Faith

God first. Business as worship — every operation aligned with eternal principles.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord."

Colossians 3:23

02

Leadership

Character under pressure. Fortitude to lead with integrity when the stakes are highest.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

Proverbs 27:17

03

Community

Iron sharpens iron. Relationships and accountability inside a high-trust tribe.

"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Ecclesiastes 4:12

04

Growth

Building modern enterprises using AI, technology, marketing, and operational excellence.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."

Proverbs 16:3

05

Mission

Serving local and global needs. The business is the engine; the mission is the destination.

"Go and make disciples of all nations."

Matthew 28:19

06

Giving Back

Funding Kingdom impact. Systematic, aggressive generosity that fuels the Church.

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give."

2 Corinthians 9:7

§ 10 / The EcosystemFLYWHEEL

Not a membership.
An ecosystem.

“Community, services, referrals, retreats, and mission — all reinforcing each other.”

+
01

Membership

The front door. A tribe of operators on a real cadence.

02

Services

Trusted partners deliver finance, AI, marketing, recruiting — under one roof.

03

Retreats

Step away. Reset. Strategy, prayer, and tribe in the wilderness.

04

Referrals

Members refer members. Trust compounds. The network is the moat.

05

Mission

Profit flows out to church planting, missions, and the poor.

06

Kingdom

Every loop strengthens the next. Business as worship. Worship as work.
