I didn't think I was worthy

Then I started serving at a food pantry, encouraging people back to God and toward baptism. Only when I surrendered did I realize: baptism isn't the finish line. It's the start of the journey.
I built Anvil & Cross because at every stage of life, one area is struggling more than the others. Put the faith spotlight on that area, fix the leak, and the wider success starts to hold.
This is not lip-service Christianity. Not building my kingdom. It is repair, restore, and revitalize — for men especially, and for any Christian done playing church and ready to build the kingdom of God.

I spent most of my life on a mission to be unforgettable — to build, to win, to leave a mark the world couldn't ignore.
That drive came out of dark places. As a boy at a Christian boarding school, I was abused by the very people who claimed to represent God. I walked away. For thirty years I rejected Him and told myself I'd be my own boss.
Then one ordinary day in Scottsdale, I turned right — without deciding to — and pulled into Oasis Community Church. Pastors Billy and Andy met me in the wreckage. I was saved again.
That walk is what built Anvil & Cross. Repair, restore, revitalize — for anyone done playing church and ready to build His kingdom instead of their own empire.

A short rhythm of listening prayer, deliberate pause, and silence — five to twenty minutes, before the noise starts. Stop striving. Let Him speak first — often in a whisper, not a thunderclap. You're placed in a triad of three and assigned a mentor who's already carried the weight you're carrying. No cohorts of hundreds. Three people who know your name.
18 honest questions surface one primary pillar and one support. Your first mentor call (1 hr) reads it with you and names the season. No score. No grade. Direction.
Six weeks on the pillar the Compass surfaced. Weekly teaching, one small practice, journal, cohort thread. Your triad of three keeps you honest.
You name the finish line in front of your triad. Re-take the Compass — the next pillar surfaces. Your mentor reviews the swing and signs off on the next season.
Same rhythm, different angle. By the end of month 3 you've walked two of the six pillars with your triad and met your mentor twice.
Mid-walk mentor session. Review the four Compass swings, name what's compounded, write the plan for the back half of the year.
