Community Gatherings

Find your people.

Lead an Anvil & Cross Gathering in your town, your church or your workplace. Bring a few people together and work through the training in one place.

Or start a Gathering just for gathering's sake — a run club, a workout group, a Bible reading hour, a breakfast table. You pick the people, the place and the time.

Meet

Wherever you feel comfortable. A home, a diner, a coffee shop, a church hall, a park, a lunch break at work. Once or twice a month.

Grow

Talk about what you feel comfortable with. The week's lesson, life, work, faith. Be honest. Pray for each other. Nobody walks alone.

Give back

Serve your town together. Then join other Gatherings for the big Gathering.

Two ways to start.

One

Lead an Anvil & Cross Gathering.

Bring people together and work through the training, one week at a time. In your town, your church, your job or your living room.

The course covers every part of life — money, work, marriage, health, rest — so there is always something real to talk about.

Everyone in the group needs Forge or above, because that is where the course lives.

Two

Or a Gathering for gathering's sake.

No course needed. A run club, a workout group, a Bible reading hour, a healing group, a lunch table. Whatever gets adults together and keeps them coming back.

This one only needs the $12 Tribe.

  • In your church. An Anvil & Cross group at your local church is a Gathering too. Share it with your church and invite them in.
  • Outside a church. Some people aren't at a church yet. A diner table might be their first step.
  • Many in the same town. A course group on Monday, a run club on Saturday, a work group at lunch. They're all Gatherings.

What it takes

Joining any Gathering: the $12 Tribe. Your seat in the groups, the chats, and serving your town together.

Doing the course together: Forge or above. The Tribe is already included in Forge, Table and Chair.

What is the big Gathering?

Every Gathering is part of something bigger. When enough Gatherings are running, they all come together in one place — hundreds of people, one big Gathering.

Tell James your town is ready and he will let you know first.

Anvil & Cross checks every new Gathering before it goes live, so the list stays safe and real.

Start a Gathering.

The easiest way in is an Anvil & Cross group: a few people, the same lessons, one week at a time. You don't need to be a pastor. You just need to show up and invite people. Or start something on its own — a run club, a Bible reading hour, a lunch table. Meet wherever you feel comfortable, talk about whatever you feel comfortable with, and know that one town can hold many Gatherings.
